Stanley Earl Leonard was born on February 13, 1960, to Margie R. Leonard and Mr. A. J. Johnson. He was educated in the Sylacauga City School System and later graduated from Sylacauga High School.
Stanley had a passion for basketball, a love that earned him the nickname “MACADOO” among his friends. His dream was to serve in the United States Military; however, that goal was cut short due to illness.
Stanley’s life was marked by his deep love for his mother. Under her guidance and teaching, he accepted Christ as his Savior. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his willingness to serve others, and the joy he found in simple tasks such as cutting grass and helping those around him.
On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Stanley peacefully transitioned into eternal life with Jesus at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Stanley was preceded in death by his mother, Apostle Margie Sillmon; his father, Mr. Johnson; his grandparents, John E. and Mary L. Leonard; and several aunts and cousins.
He leaves to cherish his memory his bonus family, Margie Hawkins and young Master Kaden Amir Hawkins; his sisters, Jacqueline McCollough, Lashanda Johnson, LaRhonda Johnson, and Tisha Johnson; his brother, Alonzo Johnson Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Stanley’s legacy of love, service, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved.
