Deacon Gregory Lomar Graham was one of four children born to Barbara Ann Graham on
March 23, 1968, in Pemberton, New Jersey. Oh, how she loved her beautiful baby boy!
Deacon Graham’s journey on this Earth was exemplified by his loving actions for 56 years. He
often stated “Oh to be kept” anytime you saw him. He had a close relationship with his Lord
and Savior.
At an early age, Deacon Graham found solace in knowing Christ and accepted Him when he
joined Marietta Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. H. L. Jackson. Later in life, he
continued serving the Lord and united with First Baptist Church (Pastor Stanford Benson). He
was installed as a Deacon on February 11, 2024. Deacon Graham completed his secondary
education at Goodwater High School - graduating class of 1986. His next step on his journey
was entering the United States Navy on October 26, 1986. He earned his degree in Criminal
Justice/Business from Central Texas and Virginia Tech. During his military career, he served as
an E. T. and later became an E.O.D. Some of his accolades are as follows: Navy/Marine
CorpsAchievement Medals (4), Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation,
Navy ‘E’ Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal (6), National Defense Service Medal (2), Southwest Asia
Service Medal (3), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer
Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (3), member of the Wounded Warrior Program, and
countless more. He was a member of the first organized military fraternity Kappa Lamba Chi.
His favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends. He never once met a
stranger. He was selfless, always giving, and so free-hearted. Nothing in the world that he
would not do for anyone. His words of wisdom were so prolific; always knew exactly what
and how to say it. When you talked to Greg, you always left the conversation with an answer
you needed to hear. To know him was to love him! He was the definition of love and his love
was blind!
In the early morning hours of August 21, 2024, Deacon Graham moved from his Earthly home
to his Heavenly home! He has now joined his mother, grandparents, nephews, and other
precious family members as they all rejoice and welcome him home!
Leaving behind to cherish his sweet, sweet memories are his loving, devoted wife Deaconess
Tracy Graham, his father, Houston Wilson, children: Thomas (Rosemerry) Graham, Ambry
(Antone) Robinson, Marcus (Amber) Graham, Shelby Maddox, Teal (Corey) King;
grandchildren: Madison, Thomas, Bryleigh, Jaxton, Rylee, Huey, Samuel, Kohen, and Willow.
Siblings: Vershone (Natacha) Graham, Leslie (Landon) Lee, Thomas (Alron) Kendrick, Sonya
(Darrin) Bledsoe); Garcia Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, in-laws,
cousins, and friends.
We will forever cherish the time and memories that we shared with our dear Greg. We find
peace in knowing that God’s eternal love surpasses all understanding and trust that his soul is
now resting in the mighty arms of the Lord. Until we meet again, it is not goodbye but see you later.
